Wonderful pierogies and even more wonderful people running this awesome place. My wife and I stopped on an anniversary trip to Pittsburgh. We love pierogies. Had no idea dessert pierogies even existed but the pumpkin and caramel apple were amazing!!! All of the others we tried were amazing too and we grabbed frozen to take home. The stuffed cabbage was great too!!

My first ever pierogies! They did not disappoint. These were my favorite food in all of Pittsburgh. Our server recommended authentic polish potato pierogies. We got the Potato Cheese & Jalapeno Pierogies, Pumpkin Spice Dessert Pierogies and Cabbage wrapped meatballs. Everything was perfect 10/10. The pierogies were soft and chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The dessert ones are to-die-for, they are extra crispy like a fried pie. And the meatballs were huge and delicious! The owners are the sweetest couple who treat any customer like family. This is a must-try in Pittsburgh

Excellent! We went for the first time after hearing about them for years since we moved to Pittsburgh. The people who own it are some of the sweetest people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They went out of their way to accommodate me, my husband, our 2 small girls and my cousin. We had ordered a lot of food so they brought over a separate small table so that we could put some of it on that and not have our table too crowded while we were eating. They gave us some of their delicious dessert pierogis and they gave the girls coloring books and a stuffed animal each. My 3 year old told them that “it was the best food ever!” and was so happy that she gave them hugs. The pierogis we THE BEST we’ve ever had and the experience was, by far, one of the best we’ve ever had. 1,000/10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving this wonderful couple your business.

We came to eat here after moving back home to the Pittsburgh area from down south. The food, service, and everything else this restaurant had to offer was amazing. They were such friendly people and were nice and accommodating to my toddler and 4 month old. They even gave us some dessert pierogis to try (they were so good!!). My toddler even got out of lunch with a new toy from one of the men who work there. We will definitely be back.

Really authentic Polish food! They have a huge selection of pierogi as well as other traditional food like stuffed cabbage. They also have a few gluten-free pierogi options which is hard to find. Owners are really friendly and welcoming. A new favorite!

KIND BUSINESS ALERT! Carl & Lisa run an incredible restaurant. The food is outstanding. Portions are large and worth every penny. The variety will make you want to return again & again. The cabbage roll is wonderful. Perfect! Very small space to eat in. They have limited hours. Owned by a retired police office, hence the name! Support local businesses. I'm from Chicago, and these are some of the best periogies I've ever had!

I would give 10 stars if I could. The most authentic “Pittsburgh” experience ever. My wife who is from Oregon was sad the pierogi fest was sold out so we ended up here as a second choice and I’m sure happy we did. The staff were super kind and helpful. They have kinda strange hours. Close early and only open 4 days a week but with that said it’s worth a stop. Tried the spicy potato one and the buffalo chicken as well. More food than 2 people could eat. The owner treated us to some delicious dessert ones. Also 5 stars. Will be back because the food was amazing and it feels like we made 2 new friends. Cheers and like I said. You earned two new customers for life! See ya around. -Michael and Mariah

I googled this place before I went there for lunch, they had great reviews and the woman and man are so very nice. It’s a cute place to grab a bite to eat. They have maybe 4 tables so not a real big place. The chicken parm pierogies I had were good. It was a lot of cheese in them. So if you like a lot of cheese get that one. The nice gentleman that works there made this homemade applesauce and I tried it and I swear it was the best applesauce I had ever tasted, beautiful blend of cinnamon and apples. I would definitely purchase that if it was sold on the shelves in a store. The fries were very delicious!! Overall, a great place to stop if you are ever in the area. I will be back.
